ABOUT CHRIS PETERS
I enjoy sharing my passion for the guitar with others. Whether it be through my original compositions (spanning virtually every style), or by helping to bring your dreams to life.
I’ve worked with students since 1997, helping each one on an individual basis to develop their unique voice on the instrument, and become the best versions of themselves. My students have gone on to study guitar at Rollins College, The Musicians Institute, and University of Central Florida.
Since my first session at age 18, with Dexter Redding, I’ve helped a wide variety of clients, bringing their vision to life. These clients include Universal Orlando, Disney and many more.
I’m equally adept at emulating famous players, as I am crafting hooks, inventing sound design elements, or nailing the perfect solo.

In this video I’m wearing my studio guitarist hat, adding a guest solo to a friend’s grunge rock project. The Fulltone Ultimate Octave pedal helped me achieve an authentic grunge era sound.
“every once in a while I get a link from someone who uses an effect so well in the context of a song it’s inspiring. Got such a link today from Chris Peters…using the Fulltone Ultimate Octave. Great work Chris!”

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS
He will meet you wherever you are at and take you to the next level! He is super invested in the uniqueness of each student, and adapts his curriculum to all styles and experience levels. And he's just a fun and easygoing guy! Definitely recommend Chris!
Chris is the textbook definition of a master guitarist. Any sort of shortcoming I ran into on during my attempts at learning guitar has always been mediated by his teachings. He is astoundingly knowledgeable on everything regarding guitars from technique to maintenance to theory. He is an incredibly efficient teacher and will instill a confidence within you with his teaching. Chris has gone out of his way to help me with every issue I had and has given me excellent advice. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
My son has Asperger's & sometimes struggles with difficult tasks. Mr. Chris has been amazing.
My student began learning guitar through a book and DVD but it couldn’t compare to in person lessons with Chris. Best thing we ever did. Chris is an amazing talent and a really great teacher. He’s extremely personable and makes the lessons fun. Have learned a lot over just a few months and improve with every lesson. Chris teaches good technique as well as songs you’re actually interested in learning. He has lots of great tips too. I can’t recommend Chris highly enough. He’s a pleasure to learn from
Chris is a great teacher. My daughter and I both took lessons from him. He is very patient letting you learn at your own pace. My daughter is playing guitar all the time here at home. We both learned a lot. We were both saying just the other day how we missed our lessons.
It's a rare occurrence to find such a well rounded guitar instructor! You get the whole package with Chris. He's not just going to teach you how to play Ironman, like so many instructors. He takes you through music theory, chord shaping, picking and finger styles, electric, acoustic, music composition, transcribing, etc. and he does it in a way that is easy to understand. Why Chris isn't touring the world with a top tier band is beyond me, but their loss is our gain. Chris's instruction has changed my 15 year old daughters life. She went from zero time on guitar to now playing in her church youth group and writing her own songs. I can't think of anyone who I deal with that I can recommend more. No matter what your skill level, go see Chris...you'll learn something!
My son took lessons from Chris for roughly 2 years, starting when he was about 10 years old. As a guitar player myself, I quickly realized that my son was in the excellent hands of a very good teacher. Chris is not only a virtuoso guitar player, but a patient and excellent instructor who is main goal Is his student’s enjoyment of the instrument. AND he is a super nice guy. I highly recommend.
Being in my fifties and just starting guitar lessons, it is often hard to balance “life” and practicing the weeks’ lesson. Chris is more than patient with my slower progression. I would probably be happy with going away with simple riffs each week, but he has shown me much more from the mechanics of playing, reading simple tabs, how the equipment works and can be adjusted to the sound I may want to produce moving forward. With each week I look towards continued improvement as slow and sometimes frustrating as it might be... and Chris easily recognizes all the obstacles with positive reinforcement and encouragement. Whether your interest is acoustic or electric and any music style, I would recommend to anyone lessons with him. Thanks Chris.
Chris is a brilliant musician with a vast knowledge of Music Theory, techniques, and general music knowledge. I've learned so much by taking lessons from him and feel like I have a well-rounded background encompassing so many different aspects of music.
Chris is an incredibly talented and very knowledgeable guitar teacher. He truly knows how to connect with both of our children, one of which has ASD. They are always looking forward to their guitar lessons with Chris.
He knows how to explain things so that no matter your level of understanding you'll be able to understand what he is talking about. He is extremely knowledgeable in music, and shows his great expertise with his guitar instruction and playing.
He was both very knowledgeable about the material and he was able to make it relatable to your interest, so that it kept you invested in the lesson.
He's a killin player and it was a pleasure to study under his instruction. Very knowledgeable about a variety of styles and technical concepts. Highly highly recommend study with Chris Peter's no matter what level of skill you possess.
Chris really got me interested in theory from the beginning, and that's something that will never change about my experience with music. His approach to clean, even tone first and foremost is also a fundamental part of my playing. If you can articulate deliberately and cleanly, you can always add a new texture to that, rather than ever having to "clean up" your style.
His knowledge, expertise, passion, and enthusiasm for guitar.
Chris knows his stuff! He is very patient and really has awesome teaching skills. All of the songs I want to learn Chris puts them in my music book then shows me how to play them and then has me play them with great techniques to help me. This guy is a true musical professional. Highly recommend Chris!
My son enjoys learning the guitar from Chris. He knows exactly how to talk to my son to get him to understand. My son is very comfortable with Chris. He is an amazing guitar player and my son enjoys his weekly classes. We highly recommend Chris. His lessons are worth every penny!
My son really enjoys his lessons with Chris. He had been taking lessons for over 4 years with him and I highly recommend Chris Peters Guitar.
Chris is an excellent instructor and extremely knowledgeable. He is a great guy!
Chris is an amazing guitar player and a terrific instructor. He has a gift of being able to mold the techniques of playing a challenging instrument, and still keep it fun and enjoyable. Those two combinations make a student want to keep playing.
Chris is great to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I would recommend him to students at any level.
Chris is a great teacher. He is really there to help his students grow. My son grew in his abilities each week. More importantly he enjoyed the lessons. There was no doubt he had fun and he grew in skills and confidence.
Chris is great with my son. He listens to my son's interests and continually encourages him to improve his skills. He is very patient with my son, who at times can be a chatter box and goof off. My son loves working with Chris and has learned a lot about playing guitar and music, in general.
Chris is a very talented teacher, very patient, he is always willing to help and makes learning guitar a fun experience!
Chris is an excellent teacher and role model for my son!
Chris is personable, compassionate, and understanding. He carefully designs the lessons around each student, you won't get a "one-size fits all lesson" in his class. Chris is always positive toward his students when they display their strengths or their weaknesses on the guitar. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn the guitar.
Chris works great with young kids. He is very patient, creative and also sparks interest among new learners.
Chris is an accomplished musician. In addition, his teaching style lends itself well to the beginner while being able to move to and explain well the deeper areas of music theory. He is very patient and speeds up and slows down in tune with the student's comprehensive ability. I am very pleased with Chris and recommend him highly.
Chris is a great teacher that challenges me to be a better guitar player with every lesson.
